New Pet Supplies Plus store opens in Jacksonville, IL.

New Pet Supplies Plus store opens in Jacksonville, IL.

While in Jacksonville for my annual EMI Delete sale trip, my family shopped at the new Pet Supplies Plus store at 805 W. Morton Ave. Their advertising flyer had great coupons in it and we got a fantastic deal on a bag of dog food. If they were in town here, we'd have been back a couple times by now.

If you want to see their ad, visit their website at:

The pet food store is hosting special events on November 8 and 9th, 2008.

Check their ad for details.

Their official website is at:

The local paper's article regarding the new store is at:

Quote from article:
" Niemann Foods Inc., based in Quincy, will open a Pet Supplies “Plus” store at 1805 W. Morton Ave., in early November, according to a company official.

The pet supply store, which will be located next to the Dollar General and Goodwill stores, will have more than 7,000 square feet of space and will offer an array of pet foods, toys and related items, as well as small animals and fish. However, it will not sell cats or dogs, according to Gerry Kettler, director of consumer affairs for Niemann Foods.

“The store will be a pet-friendly shopping experience, and pet owners are encouraged to bring their animals along while they shop,” said Mr. Kettler. The store will also have an animal obedience training area. "

I really enjoyed photographing two of their birds.
This one (above) appears to be doing his best Eagle impersonation.

The Pet Supplies Plus store carries Capstar tablets.
2008 was an unusually bad year for fleas. I've heard of people without pets getting them in their homes.

If your dog or cat has the little vampires, try using the Capstars plus the stuff you use on their neck. The Capstars bump off the live fleas on the pet.

If you have a cat, make sure you get the ones made for cats.
