Golden Corral is now open!


Golden Corral is now open!



Plates from three different diners at the Golden Corral opening night.

The lettuce varieties looked gorgeous.
Best I've seen in Springfield. (see top photo)

I'd like to see more salad dressing options.
Perhaps a honey mustard, honey lime and a smoky tomato ranch.
Would also like to see chickpeas available.

Some sort of entree featuring tofu would be nice too.

I'm surprised they don't have a "build your own horseshoe" area.


I like that they have steak and chicken on the salad bar.
Of course, I'd love to see some falafal, hummus and tofu there too someday.

An early-bird special for people 60 and older is from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (buffet with drink for $6.49).

Above: I traveled North along the alley behind the Maisenbacher House and noticed that a lot of land has already been cleared on this block.

Adults and children participated in this project.

I imagine that the kids may have had better handwriting, since they work on it more often in school.

The verse you were given to write out (twice) was the next one from the previous writer.
So you couldn't just request John 11:35.

When I was there they were working on two different chapters, Judges 16 and Deuteronomy 29.

My handwriting is pretty bad, so I'm not posting a photo of my verse.

If I had been asked what I would like to write out, my answer would probably be something from Philippians.
