  2. You're correct. These pictures are from a meal at Baker's Square.

    It looks like our local Baker's Square avoiding the chopping block.

    CHAMPAIGN – No pies for you!

    The Bakers Square restaurant in Champaign closed Wednesday night in connection with its parent company, Vicorp Restaurants Inc., filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy Thursday.

    Amy Moynihan, a public relations staffer representing Vicorp, said eight other Bakers Square locations in Illinois closed. Those were in Naperville, St. Charles, Matteson, Glendale Heights, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Lake in the Hills and Oswego.

    Among the Illinois stores remaining open are those in Normal, Springfield, Bourbonnais and Peoria.
