Edwin Watts Southwind Park Update

Nov 8, 2007

There are a couple signs along 2nd street updating us on the progress of the park.
The above sign is down the street from the church.

Below is the sign at Toronto Road and S. 2nd which points to the direction of the park.
You can click on a photo for a larger view.

The creation of 3 miles of sidewalks is scheduled to begin on Saturday.

The park should be ready to use next Fall.

Plans for the building include geothermal heating and cooling, solar panels, wind turbines and the use of recycled construction materials wherever possible.

Supporters of the project say the pavilion will have lower utility costs, and they maintain it can be built within the existing budget.
